More About Me
Hi, I’m Jane! I am located in Marietta, GA where I live with my awesome husband, David, and 2 of my 3 children. We miss our oldest, but we are so proud that she is currently teaching English in China with her husband. When I'm not taking pictures, I love to pretend to be Joanna Gaines and renovate my house. My step dad was a carpenter, and I haven't met a miter saw that I didn’t like. I also love to travel, especially national parks! When I am relaxing, ridiculously funny movies and shows is what I'm watching. Can I get a "what, what" for The Office and Friends??
My photography journey began 20 years ago when I was a "Pic Chick" at the University of Georgia taking photos for fraternity and sorority parties. Since then I have worked in everything from landscapes and real estate photography to weddings and newborns, but my true passion is working with high school seniors and families.
What draws me to photography is the emotion it evokes. It thrills me for one of my high school seniors to post ALL of their pictures on Instagram because they just can't decide!! Or when a family thought they just wanted a few pictures but wants them all! I find when I hold a photograph I am immediately transported to that perfectly captured moment. Because of this, I strive to not only capture the image of a person but also tell the story of who they are. While the perfect smile is nice. . . it's that cheeky grin, that silly face, the belly laugh that reveals their true personality. . . and that’s what I want to shine through.
I also strive to set myself apart from other photographers by offering a la cart pricing. I want my clients to order the pictures they want, in any size they want, and not be stuck with a package of pictures they'll never use. Every image I offer is edited to enhance the beauty that already exists. Also, I know many of the families, and especially the seniors, are photographed in a casual setting often through their use of social media and iPhones, which means they are used to seeing images and making adjustments as they take their pics. It’s a great idea, so it’s not uncommon for me to show my clients a few shots from “behind the camera” to make sure we are getting the poses and looks they are hoping to get.
My commitment is to offer high quality, artistic prints that are loved at price points and options that offer great value.
